ダラスからサンフランシスコへの飛行機の中から見えた風景。広大な農地から山、砂漠（のような土地）、雪をかぶった山、そして都市。アメリカは広大だわ！

写真の丸い池のようなもの。一体、これはなにか？道らしき直線は地面に引かれているのだけど、誰一人にとして、周辺数百キロ（あるいは数十キロ？）には住んでいないような位置。

could anyone teach me what these circles really are?! Took this photo on my flight from Dallas to SFO.  Maybe two hours away from Dallas.  In the middle of "nowhere", what are these circles for?
